Im 15 years old and I met my boyfriend ( 15 years old ) online through a website called PPI or penpal international. Its a website where you talk to people from all around the world. I saw this picture of a really cute boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and overall really nice body. You could say it was love at first sight. I messaged him saying hello and telling him a little bit about myself like my hobbies and where I lived. He messaged back and from then on we instantly became really close friends. Within 3 months we told eachother " I love you" that was when I was 13 and he was 14. So many say its impossible for teenagers to know what love is but I can deffinatly say me and my boyfreind know what love is. We have been there for eachother through it all for the past two years. We are a team, we talk on the phone daily for at least 2 hours. He lives in Canada so there is a 3 hour time difference but he makes the sacrifice of staying up late at night on school night so he can talk to his "baby girl" Me and my boyfriend love eachother so much and are willing to put up a fight. We havent had the best responce from people about us being togeather since people beleive kids are age should be dating with other kids living in the same area. We have a great commitment and trust for eachother and I strongly support any teenagers in a long distance realtionship. My boyfreind Is the best thing thats ever happend to me. My boyfriend visits a couple times throughout the year which is costly for him because of the long flight and considering san diego is a tourist city. My boyfriend wanted to show his commitment to me and to others so he bought me a diamond neclace that has two hearts connected, he told me the two hearts connected represented we will always be together even when we are far from each other. I can honestly say our relationship is never ending.

I guess I'll begin with the story of how we met and etc.
Well me and my boyfriend met when he was a senior at my high school and I was a freshman. (Our exact age dif is two and a half years) We were both on the cross country team, but had never really talked. I saw him around school and had a slight subconscious crush on him? Well during one of our races, I passed out. Many people gathered around but he brought his truck over to help me get back to the main area -after I had come to. I later thanked him. But that was that. (He also had a gf at the time)
About 4 months later, in April the school year was coming to an end with two months left. We started chatting a little on Myspace and such. He asked me on a date and my parents allowed. He asked me out on April 10, 2008 after hanging out a few times. We hit it off amazingly and had sooo much in common!
Anyways, we spent the summer together and it was great -true love. We became very close very fast. But come the end of July we knew what would happen. He was going to college about 4 hours away. It's a technical school, so it would be 14 months long. I didn't want to break up with him just because he was leaving.. I knew there was no other guy out there like that, especially one I could love thiss much!
So let me jump to today.. It is now August of 2009. We have been dating for a year and almost 5 months, and a year and 2 months of it has been LD. I saw him maybe once or twice each month, but it was veryy hard. He couldn't always be here for me when I needed and vs., we missed out on things together, etc. He graduates in October!
I know I should be excited.. but something has come up that wasn't quite part of the deal.. He's been excepted to 6 months of training for BMW (to be a master technician) in New Jersey. I live in NC. see? I know he doesn't want to leave me again, but I told him he has to go. I can't hold him back from that, and its a great opportunity! I know I am young, I'm not naive, but I know what I want and I know whats out there. He is a great guy and as far as cheating? there's not a chance! we have an ultimate trust & love for one another. Inside I am scared, I know we've made it this far.. but he doesn't know where he'll be after the training. I still have to decide about college? He's told me before that he wants to marry me.. and I can def see that happening (even though he knows I won't tell him back until I'm ready).. but right now, I don't know.
Long distance relationships, can they work? yes. If you love someone enough.. and you want to be with them, you will.
"Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It is for those willing to spend time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It is for those who know a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it hardly enough"

Well this isn't a succes story (...yet) but I want to share it anyways!
My boyfriend and I met at a church activity a little more then a year ago and hit it off immediately! We knew each other since we were little because he's my cousin's friend..but we've never really talked.
It was really love at first sight..
At First I didn't believe in such thing (love at first sight) but now I can honestly say that it EXISTS!
We have EVERYTHING in common; our goals in life, our favorite everything etc.
Everything was perfect until now.. (literally now).. a few hours ago I just said goodbye at the airport to the boy I love, because he went to study in Holland, I live in Curacao (it's a small Island in the caribbean).
I've been crying for like the past 4hours non stop :s ..
I really don't wish anyone this feeling! It really sucks! :(
We made a promise that we will try our best to make this LDR work!
And hopefully it WILL!
But if it does not work, then we'll still know that we've tried our best and that everything happens for a reason!
My family and friends keeps telling me stories of unsuccesfull long distance relationships and it makes me SOO upset! They constantly say: "Amor de lejos es amor de pendejos!"
That means: long distance relationships are for stupid peoples..
It makes me really sad because I am completely alone in this!
So if you're reading my story, and you're having the same problems as I am.. i want you to know that you are NOT alone and that I support your LDR!!
Because when there is true love in a relationship nothing could ever go wrong no matter what other people might say!
With love,
Ana :)

Well my boyfriend and I have been together for a little over a year now. We met off of a Match Maker thing on MyYearbook when I was looking for someone to just really talk to. I clicked yes because he was very attractive and seemed very nice. One he messaged me, we completely hit it off. I never knew how much two people could have in common.
The next night, I was extremely excited to talk to him again. Little did I know that he would ask me out. (Sure, about 90% of the time, they end withing a month, but surprisingly, ours has been for over a year now and we're happier than ever!)
He came down on the 27th of July to visit me and he swept me off of my feet again. Sure we may be young and most teenage couples are reckless. But we built our love off of trust and honesty and so much more. I can't see myself without him, he honestly completes me.
I love you Zane. <3
