Nick and I met when I was 12, almost 13 and he was 14 on a game called Earth & Beyond. Yeah, lame I know. It was always me, Nick, and his best friend from school hanging out in the game. I had a crush on him right off but I didn't say anything until almost two years later. After we got bored of the game, we switched to a private forum and AIM to communicate. I lost contact with Nick's best friend and started solely talking to Nick. When I was 14, I told him I loved him for the first time. It took a week or two before he gave me an answer back but it was a good one.
We've been together for 4 years now with me being 18 and him 19. This last March, we met in person for the first time and spent two days together. My parents have been very supportive and actually drove me down to see him! I met his mom and that best friend as well. His friend didn't even know Nick and I still talked so that was fun to surprise him with.
It got really difficult after March because we suddenly had the physical aspect thrown in. Things like sex became more real and pet names, physical compliments, etc were totally new to us. We had only JUST started talking on Skype before the visit and were barely comfortable with talking through voice. The visit was rather awkward with us both being shy, but we both agreed that the brief snuggle in a chair and the long hug goodbye were amazing memories.
In July, I convinced my parents to let me extend a family vacation by staying at Nick's house for a week. That was the best week of my life I think. I got my first kiss and finally got to get to know him physically. I was so delighted to memorize his every facial expression, every little habit, all of his body language. It was like a whole new dimension to the person I love. But after leaving, we were both pretty upset. We cried like babies and I was mopey for a good couple of weeks afterwards. I still cry on occasion when I really start missing his smell.
We started making plans for the future. I hope to move to his town in a year or two and share an apartment with him and his best friend while working and attending college there. Eventually we plan to get married.
He came to visit ME finally just last week! He got to meet all of my friends and my parents and see me in my own comfort zone.
We are completely relaxed around each other now and can't get enough of hugs and snuggling. I can't let go of his hand or stop touching his face and gazing into those gorgeous blue eyes when we're together. It's almost like we need to get in as much physical affection as we can to tide us over until the next visit.
I should be flying down to see him in October and he to see me in December! Hopefully in a year or so, we can finally be together every day and I can get more than just a week to wake up to his amazing smile.

Well like many of these stories it all started online. I was never really a fan of meeting people and talking to them online. Then one day on a website I frequent I received a message from him. It was just saying Hi,how are you....the usual. Then we began to IM each other and really got to know each other. We talked online for hours and hours at a time almost everyday for about 3 months. Then he asked for my phone number. I gave it to him and he called immediately. Our first conversation only lasted about an hour but it was good. He had to go and said that he would call me later. Well later never came. I didn't talk to him again for days. I began to wonder if I would ever talk to him again. I tried to get him off my mind but that never really worked. Eventually days became weeks and weeks became months since I heard from him.
Then surprisingly a few months later I happened to be checking my e-mail. He had sent me a message apologizing for not keeping in touch and then he went on to explain why. He asked for my number again and he called a few days later. We talked for a while then I had to go. He said he would call back but I didn't really expect it. But later that night he called and we talked all night and well into the morning like we had know each other forever. From then on we e-mailed and called each other every few days. This went on for about 6 months and then one night on the phone he asked if I wanted to be his girlfriend and make our relationship official. I said yes. Our next step was to meet in person. He lives about 16 hours from me so obviously one of us was going to have to do some traveling. I ended up going to see him and we had the most amazing time together. I met all his friends and family and I can't wait to do it again. He is so amazing and I am glad I gave it a chance because before this I would never in my life have though twice about dating someone from online but its happened to me and I can't be happier.

It all started in January of 2007 on Myspace. this guy had messaged me and sent me a friend request, we had started messaging each other and soon we stopped and never really talked. (just to add i live in southern California; he lives in South Carolina;) a month or two goes by and we start talking on their messaging each other he asked for my number and i gave it to him and he called immediately and we hit it off really good. and from that day we talked alot and we really did like each other alot, then in july 2007 we made it official that we would try the long distance relationship thing. and ya it was pretty hard at first and had many arguments but the new year had started and we finally understood that its only gonna get harder and thats when we decided to talk about everything we were feeling and we grew a very open relationship, and build up trust that had been lost. he then graduated high school and then got a job. from that we discussed our meeting. we've never met before so trying to think of a date would set things straight but we got it August 12, 2008, he sent me money to purchase my airline ticket. and we talk about out future, yes we haven't met and we are young. hes 18; me 19 , but we know what we want in this relationship, we set goals and we plan to achieve them all, and when one of us is second- thinking we talk it through and pick each other up. we have this amazing relationship and i think its about the strongest relationship that any same-zip-code-couple has ever had combined. we discuss and notice all the small little holes that same-zip-code-couples miss and we appreciate each other alot more. we've been together for over a year and we are finally meeting and we deserve it...for ourselves :]
